Private hire operators
Anyone who wants to accept private hire bookings must be licensed as a private hire operator. By using a licensed operator, passengers can have confidence that the driver and vehicle are also licensed by us.
To operate a private hire vehicle company you may need to apply for planning permission to make sure that, if your business is run from home, it will not cause nuisance or obstruction to your neighbours.
