Neighbourhoood inspections

Our regular neighbourhood inspections are a useful way to meet our residents, find communal problems and learn about other issues in the area.

During one week in March we completed six neighbourhood inspections in:

  • Bewbush
  • Furnace Green
  • Southgate
  • Gossops Green
  • Broadfield
  • Northgate

We’ll add a report about the week to this page by the end of April.

In the two weeks before an inspection, we will put up posters in the area, and if we have your email, send an email to the tenants in the area.

As well as these formal inspections, our staff will make sure they keep their eyes open when they are out and about and make sure any issues they find are followed up.

How you can help

Suggest improvements to your neighbourhoood by emailing tenantparticipation@crawley.gov.uk. You can also report a repair or problem by completing the relevant online form.

On the day

Before we carry out our neighbourhoood inspection our surveyors and housing officers, along with other staff put up a gazebo in the area so residents can get answers to their questions about our housing services, weather permitting.

What we look for

The inspections will look at things like:

  • repairs in communal areas that have not already been reported
  • litter, bin stores and fly-tipping
  • grass cutting, landscaping and other neighbourhoood services
  • communal areas being kept clear

Partnerships

Managing our neighbourhooods involves many people, not just ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ Homes. We work in partnership with the council’s neighbourhood services team as well as the Police, West Sussex Highways and others.
