Hawth Wood
This 10-hectare site is an area of mixed deciduous woodland. A number of pathways lead through the woods and there is a circular trail leading from the Hawth car park.
The history of the wood can be dated back as far as the 16th Century when it was used as a source of charcoal and iron ore for the local iron industry.
