ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ Borough Council is exploring what a cultural quarter in the town centre could look and feel like, and it needs input from people who live, work, study and play in ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾.
Working with creative partners in the town, the council is asking local people to lend their voices to the consultation and speak up for the cultural representation they hope to see in ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾.
HemingwayDesign, always possible, and Creative ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ are working with the council to develop a feasibility study. This is the chance for local people to feed into these cultural plans for the future.
Creative ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ will hold an in-person drop in at the Town Hall on The Boulevard to share more information about the consultation, from 12 noon to 2pm on Thursday 10 October. The local community can also add their voices by filling in the online survey or joining in-person focus groups throughout October. You can get involved by:
- dropping into the Town Hall to find out more from 12 noon to 2pm on Thursday 10 October
- taking part in in-person focus groups on Thursday 10 October at 5pm to 7pm at the Town Hall and Tuesday 22 October, 5.30pm to 8pm at ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ Museum for a music-specific focus group in partnership with AudioActive
It will take just 10 minutes to share your views and help shape ºÚÁÏÍøվ’s creative future by filling in the survey or join in person where you can meet Wayne Hemingway (Partner at HemingwayDesign and co-founder of Red or Dead).
This consultation shows a real commitment from the council and ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ residents to support and grow the cultural life of the town, creating real opportunity for locals to get creative and to benefit from the arts. Get involved and help make ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ a healthier, happier, and more inspiring place to live.
