ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾

There’s a fantastic feast of fun and entertainment coming to ºÚÁÏÍøվ’s parks this summer with something for everyone to enjoy.

The town is blessed with a range of excellent outdoor facilities, managed by ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ Borough Council, ready-made for a range of events including a summer fayre, fun fair, circus, cross country running, classic cars, ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ Pride and family fun day.
Here is the lowdown in date order:

Organised by the Friends of Goffs Park. Starting at 1pm in ºÚÁÏÍøվ’s oldest park, there will be a small stage with live music and performers,  stalls and refreshments, wrapping up by 4pm. While you’re there why not take the opportunity to enjoy some of the 20 hectares of woodland and lawns which have helped it maintain its Green Flag status.

Will be running eight thrilling shows at various times. .

In aid of Cancer Research UK. Make your way along the 5k route through this beautiful park, around the lakes and on woodland paths. Entry fee applies. .

is the venue for all the fun of the fair with another exceptional range of rides and entertainment.

Will be hosting the Classic Car Show & Summer Festival which includes classic cars, customs and hot rods, race cars, off-roaders, trucks and bikes. There is also live music and a barbecue. Free registration and entry. Registration is not required for general admittance which is free and open to all.

Takes place between 10am and 9.45pm. Organised by ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ LGBTQU+ community, the celebration starts with a walking parade from the Memorial Gardens at 10am to the festival site. Queenz, Step tribute and RuPaul’s Drag Race star, Pixie Polite will be the evening entertainment, along with their headlining act, Liberty X. There will be community and food stalls, a VIP area and funfair rides. The event will see two new community spaces, one for families and a second as a trans safe space. at this lovely local nature reserve with its streams, meadows and extensive hedgerows. Dreamcatcher Productions are the hosts for a fund-raising fun day to continue its work – in offering unique opportunities to younger people with a passion for music and performance – and provide the community with a fun day out which celebrates talent and diversity. The event includes a range of leisure activities, music, live entertainment, bouncy castles, face painting, stalls and activities and barbecue. .

produced by the Theatre Touring Ltd, will take place in the Walled Garden on the Bank Holiday Monday from 3pm. Based on the traditional tales of the outlaw of Sherwood Forest, with sword fights galore this exciting adaptation will have everyone on the edge of their seats this summer. All ages will love this contemporary telling of this much-loved hero with live music, song and sword fights. .
