The Small Business Grant scheme is still open for applications. The council has a budget of £80,000 to help support local businesses.

The Small Business Grant Scheme is available for eligible ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ businesses:

  • Needing start-up funds
  • Looking to expand or improve
  • Creating new employment.

A guidance fact sheet and application form are available to see if your business and proposal are eligible to receive the grant. Details can be found on our business funding and grants page.

The grant scheme is subject to funding availability. The maximum grant amount that you can apply for is £4,000 and proposals need to be match-funded by a minimum of 50 per cent of the total value.

The small business grant scheme has been running for a number of years and is separate to the business support grants that have been introduced in response to coronavirus restrictions. Please check your eligibility for all currently available grant schemes before applying.

It is really important to us as a council that our local businesses are aware of the support we have in place. We want to remind local businesses that our Small Business Grant scheme is available to help and our team are available to help with advice on the grants available if needed.

The scheme was administered extremely well by ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ Borough Council, particularly given the challenges surrounding Covid. All in all it’s been an excellent scheme so far, and really helped to take Heat Network Associates’s Brand and Web presence forward.
