The monitoring centre for ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ Borough Council’s Lifeline service will be managed by a new contractor from 1 April this year.
Lifeline is the council’s personal alarm system, allowing customers to access medical help, the police and fire and rescue service at the touch of a button, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Currently, calls to the monitoring centre are managed by Chichester Care Centre but from 1 April, Mole Valley Life will take over, meaning residents will be looked after by Mole Valley Life, when they press their alarm on their pendant or base unit.
This change will also affect the council’s 550 Sheltered Housing tenancies.
To ensure minimal disruption, all lifeline customers have been contacted and provided with information and advice on how the changeover will work.
Lifeline has been a valuable service for vulnerable members of our community for 30 years. This changeover will ensure our customers continue receiving top quality service.

Lifeline is suitable for any person across ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ and Mid Sussex who feels they need access to help quickly, from single parents, families with kids with disabilities, elderly people or vulnerable adults.
The service costs £3.74 (plus VAT if applicable) which includes installation of the base unit and pendant, replacement batteries and an annual service visit.
