About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Options Officer to join our team delivering end-to-end housing options services in response to an emerging area of demand within ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾. We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic individuals, driven to deliver quality customer centred services.

Key responsibilities: You will be delivering all aspects of the council’s statutory homelessness duties, from processing homeless applications, providing advice, to discharge the housing duty.

You will have:

  • the knowledge and experience to successfully fulfil the responsibilities of the role
  • an excellent understanding of the relevant legislation and statutory duties
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • a proven track record of working with other services and professional organisations to support customers and achieve positive outcomes
  • excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working collaboratively within the team/wider council

ºÚÁÏÍøÕ¾ is an exciting place to work, with a vibrant town centre and excellent transport connections. Our hybrid working arrangement allows a balance of working from home and at least two days in the office.

Fixed term contract for 18 months.

A full current UK driving licence is a requirement of the role.

Participation in the Out of Hours emergency duty scheme for which an additional allowance will be paid.
