Safeguarding

We all have a responsibility to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults who are at risk of harm and abuse.

Safeguarding means to promote the welfare of children and adults from known harm and risks. Children and young people don't always have the means to ask for or access help and an adult at risk may be unable to take care of or protect themselves against harm or exploitation

Our safeguarding policy is in-line with legislation, statutory guidance and the Pan Sussex safeguarding procedures. It details our responsibilities and applies to all staff (casual, temporary and permanent), volunteers and elected members.

Raising concerns

If you think a child, young person or vulnerable adult is at immediate risk, you should treat this as an emergency and call 999 to report your concerns to the Police.
